Chiral Recognition Materials - Development and Evaluation of Zwitterionic and Mixed-Mode Chiral Stationary Phases for LC to Resolve Chiral Acids, Bases and Ampholytes.

Research focus:

  • Separation science & materials
  • Mass spectrometry
  • Bioanalysis Chiral recognition

Project: Chiral recognition materials

For more than thirty years a main focus of my research activities centered around the thematic issue of "Enantioselective Separation Methodologies" in conjunction with the elucidation of molecular recognition phenomena between (chiral) selector and (chiral ) selectand species in liquid phases. In generating these findings my group specialized inter alia on the development of novel chromatographic stationary phases but also on dedicated labeling strategies to be used in LC-MS/MS approaches. Core activities relate to the design of mixed modal stationary phases for LC and to multidimensional analysis systems for complex samples.
